Fitters are tradesmen who are responsible for the inspection and fitting of machined parts.Mechanical fitters work according to specifications of engineering drawings and sketches and, in some instances, from examples of components that they have to manufacture. They are responsible for the dismantling and fitting together of component parts.
Pipe fitters are tradesmen who are responsible for assembling Pipelines according to isometric drawings.Pipe fitters work according to the specifications of isometric drawings or sketches. They are responsible for the interpretation of drawings, as well as the layout and assembly of the fittings and components according to given sketches within given tolerances.
The electrician is involved in the generation, transmission, distribution and usage of electricity. Construction electricians are responsible for the installation of wiring, accessories, control equipment, wire ways, switchboards, etc., according to safety regulations. They are furthermore involved in the preplanning of such installations and with the accurate selection of cables, conductors and protective devices as part of the wiring system.
Welders play key roles in the manufacturing process. Their work varies from repair and maintenance welding, to construction and fabrication.
They need to be competent in welding many different types of metal (mild steel, stainless steel or aluminum) using various processes.
Boilermakers manufacture, construct and repair structures of steel, plate and piping, ranging from pressure vessels for power stations and petrochemical plants, to mine head gears, bridges and oil-drilling platforms.
The work of riggers includes different tasks such as the erection of hoisting tackle, assembling and erection of derricks, sheer-legs for construction purposes, the installation and maintenance of steel cables used in various ways, pulleys, lifts, hoists and cranes.
